Physical and Mental Health
The Office of Student Care Coordination is the central and first point of contact for any undergraduate, graduate or professional student with a personal, academic, emotional or medical concern. Comprising dedicated student care coordinators, the office is dedicated to providing one-on-one, continuous care to students as they navigate life events and work toward their goals at ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ and beyond.
The Student Care Network is a holistic network of services and resources developed to optimize the health, wellness and safety of all ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ students.
The Center for Student Wellbeing is committed to helping students within the ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ community maintain lifelong wellness practices. The center promotes a campus culture that supports students' professional development and academic success by using an integrative, holistic framework. Through inclusive and collaborative programming, support services and campus initiatives, the center cultivates engagement in lifelong well-being practices that enhance students’ ability to thrive within the ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ community and beyond.
Staffed by ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ physicians and nurse practitioners, the provides a wide range of services, from acute care needs to chronic disease management. While appointments are preferred, students’ physical ailments and issues are typically treated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The mental and emotional well-being of students is also integral to the overall educational experience at ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ. The University Counseling Center provides individual counseling that can include personal, academic or emotional support.
The David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center offers state-of-the-art facilities for exercise and activities—from group yoga classes to intramural competitions. The center includes 290,000 square feet indoors, along with six acres of outdoor space.

Safety
With a staff of more than 100, the is one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the state of Tennessee. In addition to providing around-the-clock security to all members of the ¿ìè¶ÌÊÓƵ community, the department also offers a variety of services for students, including VandyRide, a complimentary, campuswide shuttle service, and VandySafe, a free app that connects students to the VUPD via their cellphones.
